Every year, tens of thousands of motorhome enthusiasts travel to the different shows held around the UK. Many are there to browse, some to buy gadgets and accessories, for others it’s about meeting up with friends from motorhome clubs they belong to and for a fair few it’s about signing on the dotted line and buying a new or used motorhome.
Going to a motorhome show is about having fun, discovering what’s new on the market and generally taking the opportunity to experience looking inside many models of motorhome. There are often over a hundred stands where you can buy everything you’ve ever thought you need for a motorhome – and many items you didn’t even know existed!
Motorhome shows aren’t just about the vehicles on display; live music, great food, activities for the children and on-site camping are also part of the event.
If you’re new to motorhoming, they are an invaluable part of researching which model to buy. With experts on hand from many of the leading manufacturers, you can talk to them about their range and discover what you really want from your dream vehicle.
For those with many years of touring under their belt, it’s about finding out about upgrades to models, meeting old friends at their club rally and buying a few gadgets as treats.
Every motorhome has something for each visitor so here are the main events coming up in 2015.

What makes this an extra special event is that this year the show has a Wild West theme so if you’ve got a pair of cowboy boots gathering dust in the wardrobe, dust them off and head for the hills.
With over 200 exhibitors on site, this is one of the biggest events of the year as there will be thousands of items for sale including an incredible range of new and used British, European and American RV motorhomes.
To continue the Western theme, four nights of country and western music is planned to really get feet tapping as well as many exhibitors having Wild West themed items for sale.

The summer season of touring may be drawing to a close by the end of September, but the Motorhome Show Season Finale plans to send 2015 off with a big bang of exhibitors, entertainment and four nights of motorhome shopping – including end of season deals.
Over 200 outside exhibitors will be lining up to meet you as well as there being great food and the addition of a fantastic craft market; really a show for all the family.
This is the show to see all the top motorhome models of the year lined up in one location as dealers look to celebrate another year of on-the-road adventuring. September is also the time of year when 2016 models start to enter the market for pre-order so don’t miss out on being amongst the first to see inside vehicles destined for the road next year.
The theme for the show is ‘Best of British’ and those staying over the weekend will be able to enjoy live music each night with both Blondie and the Beatles tribute acts getting everyone on their feet. With Showaddywaddy rocking the night away and legendary comedian Jethro putting a smile on the faces of those making the journey to Lincoln, this is the season finale to top all season finales.
Even if owning a motorhome is a distant dream, start your journey now by visiting one or more of the national shows. The time spent looking at the different models, the range of layouts and exploring the enormous choice of accessories will be time well spent. When the day comes you’re ready to buy, you’ll know exactly what you want and you will have had a great time learning about your new life on the road from those already living the dream.
